Babe's Chicken Dinner House in Frisco is a straightforward, no-frills chicken restaurant that leans heavily into classic Southern comfort food. Located on Page Street, this spot is built for groups and families who want hearty, familiar plates served in a lively, bustling setting. The dining room has a somewhat quirky layout, with a maze-like entry and waiting area that adds a bit of character without much pretension.

What you’re here for is the food: fried chicken is the centerpiece, available by the piece or as part of a full dinner. Alongside the main dish, sides like thick mashed potatoes smothered in gravy, cream-style corn, green beans, and buttermilk biscuits with honey appear in generous, refillable portions. The biscuits, notably crunchy on the edges, draw consistent praise, while the salads tend to be more basic and straightforward. Scratch-made desserts like banana pudding, chocolate meringue pie, and peach cobbler offer classic Southern finishes to the meal.

The atmosphere reflects the restaurant’s appeal to larger groups and casual gatherings. It’s not a quiet or intimate spot—expect a steady flow of families and friends, with a cheerful, somewhat chaotic energy typical of a popular local chain. Because there are no reservations, visiting during off-peak lunch hours on weekdays can make for a smoother seating experience. Dinner times and weekends can be busier with more of a wait.

This is the sort of place where the servers take care of refreshing your sides regularly, making it less about a plated presentation and more about comfortable, continuous dining with all the Southern staples. It’s a dependable choice if you want solid fried chicken and sides served in a warm, approachable environment rather than something upscale or gourmet.

Overall, Babe’s Chicken Dinner House suits anyone looking to share a familiar Southern-style meal in an unpretentious setting, especially if you’re with a group or catering an event nearby. Its proximity within Frisco makes it a convenient stop for locals who want consistent, hearty fare paired with a practical dining experience.

The fried chicken is good, the sides are just ok. But it is a fun atmosphere and a good place to go if you have a large group.

Experience is a 5 star. The layout of the entry way and waiting area feels like a maze. Weird and quirky but fine. All the food is 4 star. Fried chicken, fried catfish, thick mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet corn, etc. The salad is very average with a sweet tangy dressing, 3 star. The biscuit is enjoyable with crunchy bits and ends so 5 star. It comes with honey on every table. For newbies, servers just provide 5 options and everything else is complimentary. Overall food is good at 4 star. Experience? I’ll give it a 5 star. Come early to avoid the lines so we came 11am on a Tuesday. Any of the main dishes can be taken home in a plastic bag — so all the sides are a no-go. Ps. if you made it this far, I lol’Ed when we had the only Asian server. The irony is that we were the only Asian family at this time so it was like a 1/15 chance. So shout out to Kayla to serving southern fried food in Texas. This is just an observation and neither criticism nor feedback. Overall, enjoy the food and experience.

We used Babe’s catering for our wedding in Frisco in July. We coordinated with Erin Reynolds and the process was super easy! She was very communicative, which we appreciated. We got Babe’s delivered to our venue and had staff serve it and it was great! It was a big hit with our guests. There was barely any chicken left to take home after the wedding! We love babes and our venue was close to the Frisco location so it all made sense and it ended up working out perfectly. Thank you for making it easy for us and making it a yummy dinner at our wedding! - the VerWoerts

Recently met with friends at the Babes Chicken Dinner House on Page Street in Frisco and had an expectedly nice meal. There are two indoor seating areas, can be quite busy so be patient when it comes to seating. No reservations, just first come, first serve. Opening hours are 11am to 2pm (lunch) and 5-pm (dinner) during the week and 11am to 9pm on weekends. Everything is very simple. Choose one of five chicken (or fried catfish) mains. They will be brought out along salad and unlimited cream biscuits, corn, green beans, mash potatoes. I ordered the chicken fried steak and found it to be pretty good. All sides were fine. They offer desserts as well if you've room left over after your chicken dinner . This is a fun place to eat as a small group or family. Prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality of the chicken dinners. Service is friendly and very timely with bringing food out to the tables. Environs are enjoyable for a casual night out. Would enjoy eating at Babe's again in Frisco or one of their other branches.

If you are in Frisco TX, you need to try out Babe's Chicken Dinner House!! The food is so good. You order your main dish (fried chicken, smoked chicken, chicken strips or catfish) then the server will bring you the sides. Your sides are salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits, corn and green beans. With the side you can order more and the server will bring all you can eat of the sides. They were so good. The servers were great and the atmosphere was fun. You need to read the signs.

Been here many times, both Frisco and Arlington. Always love it. Love the concept. Wish I wouldn't always get full so easily. Lol. Food is delicious. Biscuits are alway scrumptious. We usually get the catfish. Only negative experience today was going to the women restroom for the first time. Hot mess, full trash bins and empty toilet paper rolls, toilet paper on the floor. But all in all a once again good experience dining at this restaurant.

Delicious! It’s been a long while since I’ve eaten at a Babes chicken and it didn’t disappoint! Great service and atmosphere! I’m definitely going back!
